An Evening with the Liberal Party Presidential Candidates

Join the University of Toronto Liberals for a cocktail reception and debate on the way forward for the Party, with candidates running for the Presidency of the Liberal Party of Canada. The money raised from this event will assist funding for UofT delegates going to the Biennial Convention.

Date: Wednesday, November 30, 2011.

Registration and Cash Bar: 5:30 p.m.

Discussion with presidential candidates on the “white paper”: 6:00 p.m.

Location: McCarthy Tétrault, Suite 5300, Toronto-Dominion Tower, 66 Wellington Street

Cost: $25 per person, those 25 & under are free (additional donations are greatly appreciated but will not be tax deductible) by credit or cheque, payable to the Liberal Party of Canada (Ontario), memo: U of T Liberals. All proceeds will support University of Toronto students attending the Biennial Convention in Ottawa.

UTSU Clubs Day 2011

The UofT Liberals will be participating in the UTSU Clubs Day event this Wednesday! Please come visit us Wednesday September 7th, from 10am-2pm at Hart House Circle. We will be able to provide information about upcoming events we have planned for the school year or answer any questions you may have. Most importantly the Ontario Provincial Election is October 6, 2011, and we would love to inform you on how you can get involved with different campaigns!

We’re holding two versions of the same meeting to allow people with other commitments (class, events later in the evening) to attend.

We will have party and club membership forms at the meeting, if you want to sign up on Thursday.

Bring your enthusiasm, and your ideas about what the UofT Liberals can do this year to engage with you and the larger community — about speakers we can invite, fundraisers we can organise, and outreach materials that we can design.

Rally with Michael Ignatieff

Join the UofT Liberals and federal Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff at a student rally in Waterloo.

Hosted at Wilfrid Laurier University, Michael will be speaking about what we can do as students to move this country forward and help elect a Liberal government that will make our country and our world a better place to live for all Canadians.

We will be leaving by bus from Hart House at 1pm. There will be a social after the rally with free “refreshments”. Buses will be returning to the city for about 7:30pm.

Date: Saturday, September 19th, 2009.

Time: Buses leave at 1:00 pm and return for 7:30 pm

Location: Meet outside the front entrance of Hart House
