Success in elections is the key to putting our ideas into practice. The Liberal Party is the most successful political party in the history of Western democracy. It takes hard work and dedication -- especially that of our youth volunteers -- to keep our current MPs and MPPs elected, and to elect new ones.

Our first priority as U of T Liberals is to win the Provincial Election on October 6, 2011– we feel we ought to win because of the pride we share in the McGuinty government’s record and platform. In particular, we are working to defend our current Liberal seats at Queen’s Park – by electing first-time candidate Christina Martins in Liberal-held Davenport and helping strong incumbents such as Glen Murray, Eric Hoskins and Mike Colle. In doing so, we are doing our part to support the only party in the province that has a serious plan focused on public priorities. These priorities include reducing tuition by 30%, improving our health care system through more hospitals and at home care for seniors, and further investment in green energy embodied in the Green Energy Act
